We believe in the unknown, the new and the edge of the unexplored and their ability to teach you about yourself and what you want to become.
There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.

Trip South Africa:
Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa
Imagine a passage against the backdrop of South Africa’s epic terrain, beginning in Johannesburg and winding away to Cape Town in the south. Imagine a passage where the ancient, contemporary and evolving live side by side.
The heart of South Africa’s creative life, Johannesburg hosts the best museum in the world for understanding where we all came from, and some of the best galleries and artists for appreciation where we are and where we’re going. Highlights include The Origins Center Museum, time with master artists, collectors and curators like Kim Sacks, James Delaney, and Joe Leshoka LeGate while they show us what makes Joburg the place it is.
Take deep dives into the gallery districts, artists’ studios, and street art that forms the contours shaping the entire continent, as well as culinary experiences, conversations, and our signature mind/body work. Plus a visit to a museum so new that you may be the first non-African through the door.
On the Move
Then we’re off on simply one of the most extraordinary rail experiences the world offers: 1,600 kilometers of pure rolling luxury on Rovos Rail. On the way to Cape Town, there are stops in the diamond country and well-preserved examples of the Victorian-era frontier. But it’s just not the view of the Highveld or the mountain ranges or the shimmering sea, it’s a chance to experience a past finding contemporary relevance in a way that is both inspiring and challenging.
In Cape Town, we’ll see works on the fringe, plunge head first into the city’s screaming-hot design scene and get a head start on losing ourselves in the natural beauty that defines the region. And nowhere will we have more of that than when we decamp finally to South Africa’s Winelands. Home to a select group of art galleries, museums, sculpture gardens, and studios, all surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, and great restaurants, the area is a fine place to wind down our trip. Private wine tastings will help there, too.
